It isn't — at least not with us. Villa Coral's minimum is 4 nights. Here's why that gap exists, and how to think about it whether you're planning a long weekend or a full two-week family trip.
Why 7-Night Minimums Are So Common in Dorado
A minimum stay isn't arbitrary. For a large private villa, there's real work on both ends of a booking — a deep clean and inspection before you arrive, and the same again after you leave. For a lot of properties, especially during peak season, that turnaround math only makes sense at a full week.
Seven nights also lines up with how a lot of mainland travelers fly — Saturday-to-Saturday or Sunday-to-Sunday — so many properties simply built their whole calendar around that rhythm.
Why We Do It Differently

- 4 nights is the floor — the shortest stay we'll book
- 5 nights is our actual average stay length, which tells you most groups land somewhere between a long weekend and a full week
- Up to 14 nights is available for families doing an extended stay, a multigenerational reunion that needs real time to settle in, or a longer Puerto Rico trip using Villa Coral as a home base
That range exists because families don't all travel the same way. A grandparents-and-grandkids reunion might want the full two weeks. A group of three families meeting up for a long weekend around a holiday might only need four nights and a lot of pool time.
How to Think About Choosing Your Length of Stay
A few honest guidelines, based on what tends to work well for groups our size:
